By KILEY BRANAN – The Halloween season is here and it’s almost time for trick-or-treating. There are so many possible costume ideas out there that it can be hard to pick which one you want to dress up as.

There are many popular costumes this year, ranging from TV show characters to aliens. Many people are going with groups or just a friend, but there are so many costumes to choose from everyone is stuck on what they want to be. “I am still not sure what I want to dress up as. I get one idea and then find a better one,” explains sophomore Brooke Johnson

Going with a group of friends is always fun, but finding a group outfit isn’t easy. Popular group outfits in 2019 include the popular candy M&M’s, many groups are wearing multi color t-shirts with the letter “M” on the front. Some are also doing different types of candy like Reese’s, Almond Joy, and Kit-Kat. “My friend group decided to go as candy because it seemed simple but fun,” says freshman Emily Teacher

Another popular group outfit is from popular TV shows. The group from the show “Friends” is always a fun idea, but some are also going as characters from Scooby-Doo, Riverdale, and other popular or throwback shows.

Going with just one other person makes it a little easier to find a costume because a duo costume is always an option. You could go as two close characters from a show or get creative by going as Lilo and Stitch, or Piglet and Pooh, maybe you go as a couple of cowboys. There are many other things too, like going as a pair of Crocs or aliens. “I might just go in one of my old sports uniforms, I’m not sure what else I would dress up as,” said freshman John Martineau

There are plenty of costume ideas out there for everyone, and this is only a few of the great ones. Halloween is always fun no matter how old you are and dressing up is a blast. It’s always a fun night with friends.
