By ALEXIS LEONE – Last school year, two members of IHSeva were nominated by anonymous
teachers to attend the Future Medical Leaders of America summer program.

The purpose of this program is to help students get a start in the medical field.

Senior Eva Miller attended this three-day seminar while the other nominee, senior Tatiana McAnulty, was unfortunately unable to attend.

The program was located in Boston, Massachusetts, and individuals who made an impact in the medical field from over the country traveled to attend and speak.

These speakers presented slide shows, as well as videos to educate the students on information about the medical field.

The program was held on June 26-28, 2016. “It was worth it in getting to better my chances of getting into college. The program taught many of the do’s and don’ts of applying to college for medicine,” states Miller.

At the end of completing this program, students were presented with a certificate of completion and more educational experience in the medical field.
