By SARAH PIERCE– Many IHS seniors have gotten senior pictures done already this year, but some have not.

There are many, very talented photographers in and around Indiana that take senior pictures. Some photographers in this area are Jill Gearhart Photography, Sparks Ignite Photography, and Julie Bee Photography.

All of these photographers are located in Indiana.

Senior Beza Allison stated, “Mekong Brewbaker took my photos. I would 100% recommend her to anyone. She’s really easy to work with and makes the photoshoot comfortable. I got mine taken in the summer and I wasn’t planning on doing any in the spring.”

When it comes to Jill Gearhart Photography, Gearhart is a down to earth, dog loving, daredevil and she likes to spend her time outside of photography by traveling, cooking, serving at her church, riding her motorcycle, and enjoying a good book or looking at some artwork.

Gearhart charges $300 for a 1 hour session; 15 files included, and additional files/packages are also available for purchase. For more information you can go to https://www.jillgearhartphotography.com/

Sparks Ignite Photography is owned by Jon Blanchard, who is originally from Louisville, KY. He is a father of three boys and he has a dog named Sassy.

Outside of photography Blanchard has an eclectic assortment of hobbies including, but not limited to: coffee drinking, tennis, junk food eating, motorcycle riding, movie watching, playing trucks on the floor with his boys, etc.., but he is very passionate about photography and he truly loves what he does.

Blanchard offers a special package for high school students only that is $250. It consists of two hours at the location(s) of your choice (outdoors) and 30 minutes in the studio.

There are also other packages available to fit your budget. For more information you can go to http://www.sparksignitephotography.com/

Senior Olivia Kuzneski stated, “I got my senior pictures down in South Carolina this summer by Ashlie Sanders Photography. I mean if you’re going to South Carolina on vacation, she did a great job on mine.”

When it comes to Julie Bee Photography, Julie has been a photographer for over a decade. Her goal isn’t just to take a photo, but to create pieces of artwork that you will treasure and love for the rest of your life.

She pays very careful attention to detail and building a story and that’s why she is a photographer. She wants to capture moments that her clients will have for the rest of their lives to look back on.

Bee charges $300 for a 1-2 hour session at 2-3 locations and this also includes 25 edited digital images with print release. For more information you can go to https://www.juliebeephotography.com/

Senior Sara Zimmerman stated, “My photos were taken by Ashley Clouser. I recommend her because she’s quick, she knows what she’s doing, and she’s very friendly. I got them done in the fall. I don’t plan on getting spring photos done.”

This is important for all of the students at IHS because they will eventually choose whether or not to get senior pictures. If they do, this will help them decide who to go with based on the quality of the photographer, and what they charge.
