Indiana Area Senior High School

By JORIE MEIL – Senior Meddie Cribbs, formerly known as Maddie, (she became Meddie when Mr. Nath spelled her name wrong at a conference and her name tag said “Meddie” all day) is getting ready to leave IHS and the High Arrow. With a sassy comment and a camera in hand, Meddie will graduate with the rest of the senior class on June 5, leaving IHS different and darker without the brightness of her smile and character.

Meddie is a first-year member of the High Arrow Staff and though her time writing for the paper may have been short, she left a lasting mark and produced great content. She has covered everything from female leadership in IHS to hockey to sexual assault awareness. Meddie is also the High Arrow’s go-to photographer and photo editor.

In addition to the High Arrow, Meddie is involved in many clubs, classes, and organizations throughout the school. Meddie has been involved in Digital Media productions since her junior year. She is an exceptionally skilled photographer and has had her work featured in the High Arrow and Indiana Gazette.

Meddie was also a part of the rowdy routers and even wrote an article detailing their origins. She says that some of her favorite memories at IHS are from attending every hockey game during her high school career.

As Meddie prepares to graduate she will be attending High Point University with a major in journalism. She leaves IHS with these parting words “To the incoming freshmen, never be ashamed of who you are–stand up for yourself and be thankful for everything you have.” Congratulations Meddie!
