Digital Media Production returns to bring students the IHS experience!

By MICHAEL JADZAK

Digital Media Production at IHS provides the students with photos and videos of IHS events, and the IHS Webcast.

Returning students in Digital Media production have expressed that they are excited about starting the year and capturing student life once again.

Sophomore Josh Roumfort explained why he continued Digital Media, “What I like about Digital Media is the opportunity to learn how to take photos on a DSLR camera.  I continued to do it because I love the atmosphere that the teacher and class bring.”

Students in Digital Media get to photograph other students and their friends going about their day in school. Sophomore Joey Margita stated, “I think that when we get to go around and take photos of student life it is a great experience for us as students and it is also fun to do.”

The IHS Webcast, which is aired every day in homerooms and on its own Google Classroom, is a broadcast by students which provides students with information about events in the school.

Digital Media and its students are responsible for some contributions. These contributions can be either big or small. Junior Daniel Carpenter commented, “Yes, there are lots of contributions to the IHS Webcast from Digital Media Productions. Sometimes Digital Media students are on air providing the announcements and there are always multiple DMP members behind the scenes working videography including lights, soundboard, video switcher, prompter, and other various tasks.”

With a long school year ahead, Digital Media and its students will continue to capture student life as IHS aims to have another successful school year.
