High Arrow Staff Spotlight: Gabi Isenberg

By ELLA MOSCO

Gabi Isenberg is a freshman and a first-time reporter for the High Arrow. Gabi joined journalism at the beginning of the 2022 school year. Gabi was inspired to join because she was involved in the Crimson Arrow, the junior high school newspaper.

Gabi says, “Last year I was president of the Crimson Arrow and was very passionate about it.” The Crimson Arrow and High Arrow have different responsibilities. “The High Arrow is more professional and we have more responsibilities, Gabi describes.

Gabi’s favorite class this year is English. “My favorite subject is English, it can be easy, yet challenging at the same time,” Gabi says.

During the school week, Gabi is a part of the Athena club. Athena Club is a women’s leadership-based club. The members focus on community service and giving back.

Gabi is also a part of the Newspaper Journalism Club. Gabi is involved with the YMCA and IHS swim teams and works as a swim lesson instructor for kids from ages one through 10 at the YMCA.

She also enjoys snacking on Cheez-its and watching Stranger Things in her free time.

“Gabi knows how to light up a room and makes journalism class a fun place to be,” sophomore Addison Mosco comments.
