High Arrow spotlight: Elizabeth Olsen

Elizabeth Olsen is a Junior At Indiana Senior High and a first year staff member of the High Arrow. Olsen is involved with Eco Club and is a part of the IHS girls Tennis team.

Olsen has expressed her love for writing many times and it has influenced her decision to write for the High Arrow. She has written amazing articles such as, “Internship programs bring fun opportunities for IHS students”, “Getting a book into everyone’s hands: IHS has a new librarian” and the one she is most proud of, “IHS Eco-Club  is making a difference to our environment.”

Another staff member of the High Arrow Elia Dietz states, “She’s very helpful and makes sure you get planners and articles done on time and she has an amazing style.”

She mentions her interest in shows like The Walking Dead and Ginny and Georgia.

Some activities that take up most of Olsen’s time are doing school work, writing, relaxing at home, and hanging out with friends. Some of her favorite music artists are Taylor Swift and Frank Ocean.

Olsen loves going to the beach. She and her family go to Avalon, New Jersey every year. She also commented on her love for reading and how often she reads.

”Lizzie is a very hard worker who has done amazing work at her role as a house leader,” Mr. Nath’s former student teacher Mr. Rehn commented. 

Olsen mentions that she took journalism to further her writing skills and is considering going into journalism as a career choice. She talks about her interest in poetry.. She started getting into it last year in her Honors English class. Her and her Mom plan to write a children’s poetry book in the future.

Mr. Neil, the Girls and Boys Tennis Coach said, “Lizzie is a hardworking and kind student. She is a joy to coach and she sets a great example on both the tennis court and in the classroom for the younger students and players.”
