Indiana Area Senior High School

By BROOKE BOYER – One of the few seniors on the High Arrow staff is Jacob Christian. While Jacob was only a staff reporter for a short time, he left a lasting impression on the High Arrow.

This was Jacob’s first year on the High Arrow staff, and he has been an exceptional addition. His favorite article that he worked on this year was his “It’s a Wonderful Life” book review in which he parodied the classic film.

Jacob also particularly enjoyed his interview with Tivon Pennicott, this years jazz artist in residence.

Overall, he enjoys the more creative side of writing and liked writing feature articles this year.

While Jacob really enjoys writing, his favorite part of journalism has been the staff. “I really like the community in the room. I just think everyone is really cool.”

Everyday, Jacob has something to contribute to the room, whether it’s his controversial opinions or his hilarious demeanor. No matter what, he’s able to spark conversation and give anyone a laugh.

In the near future, Jacob will be attending Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a major in English and a minor in guitar.

Jacob hopes to pursue a career doing the things he loves, music and writing. “I just want to keep doing my creative writing and music and hopefully I can make some money off of it,” Christian said.

All of the High Arrow staff wishes Jacob the best of luck as he moves on to bigger things. Congratulations Jacob – we will miss you !
